Every KoloRide e-scooter and e-bike in Kyiv and Lviv unlocks the same way. No counter, no paperwork, no queue at a rental desk.
Open the app and point your camera at the QR code on the handlebar stem. It confirms you have the right vehicle, its battery level and its current rate: UAH 6 per minute, capped at UAH 900 per day.
Carry your passport or ID card. You must be 18 or older to open an account.
Tap unlock and the wheel lock releases. A refundable deposit of UAH 1,500 is held on your card and released within 3 working days of your last ride. A helmet comes free with every rental.
Test both brake levers and check tyre pressure before you set off.
Use the bike lane where one exists and stay out of the pedestrian zone. The Podil riverside path is a flat start; the climb back up to the old town is harder on a scooter than on an e-bike.
End the ride inside a marked zone and drop the stand. The app shows the nearest one.

Before you unlock
Four checks at the pickup point. The whole handover takes about a minute.
Riders must be 18 or older. Bring your passport or national ID to the pickup point and keep it with you for the ride.
Helmets are required for riders under 18 under Ukrainian road rules and are provided free with every rental. We recommend one for every rider, and we carry sizes down to a child fit.
A refundable deposit of UAH 1,500 is held on your card at unlock and released within 3 business days after the ride. It is separate from the fare, which runs at UAH 6 per minute, capped at UAH 1,200 per day.
Use cycle lanes and the riverside path. Riding is not allowed on the Khreshchatyk pedestrian zone, in metro passages, or on the cobbled streets of the Lviv old town, where you should walk the vehicle.
Pickup zones
Seven signed pickup points across Kyiv and Lviv. Each one sits within a short walk of a metro stop or a rail platform, and each post carries the zone number and the current tariff card.
